Welcome to ANIMA MUNDI PETS!
We are dog people. We were born in homes that already had pets, we grew up with cats and dogs and horses, and basically haven’t spent a day without animal hair on our clothes.
We are dog moms, cat moms, foster homes for rescue dogs, volunteers at local sterilization campaigns, and we also help our fellow rescuers or do our own rescues when we can.

All this to say, we breathe dog, we eat pet hair daily and we dream about helping animals in our sleep.
No discrimination here, we focus on dogs but really, we love every animal on earth, from bees to sharks, spiders to snakes, coatis to koalas, we defy you to find an animal that we wouldn’t want to understand and connect with better.

ANIMA MUNDI PETS is born from a friendship between Amira and Julie, their shared values regarding animal welfare, their mutual awe of the animal kingdom and a common desire to bring new solutions to pet owners and their furry kiddos in Playa del Carmen, one that is more aligned with animal psychology and less with obedience training. Because we are NOT trainers.
Our goal is not to make good lil soldiers out of the dogs in our care, but rather we thrive to make dogs more balanced through cognitive stimulation, sensory enrichment, friendly socialization.
